On the 2nd of June 2018 Enthusiasm Trust were recognised for exceptional service within Derby. This unique UK national honour was created by Her Majesty to mark the Golden Jubilee in 2002 and to recognise the outstanding contributions made to local communities by groups of volunteers.

On October the 3rd 2018, the official ceremony took place at the iconic Marble Hall, Rolls Royce. The Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire (Mr William Tucker) presented the dome glass crystal and certificate to Enthusiasm Trust on behalf of Her Majesty.

The occasion was witnessed by dignitaries such as The Deputy Mayor of Derby (Councillor Frank Harwood) and former High Sheriff of Derbyshire (Lucy Palmer). Other esteemed colleagues from across the City of Derby included notable politicians, Derbyshire Constabulary, Derby Homes, and Derby College. Business supporters such as HUUB, Equilibrium Asset Management and Alt Design were amongst many others who were present.

The most important members were those who had accessed Enthusiasm in their youthful days and a number of young leaders who volunteer at Enthusiasm Youth clubs currently. It was great to see Enthusiasm represented by young people of the past and present, many of which are now staff members with lived experience.
