Support Us

We can’t continue our work within the local community without your support. See how you can get involved today.

How you can support us

At Enthusiasm we raise funds in a variety of ways including holding fundraising events with our community, volunteers, Trustees and supporters. Kind donations are made by many local businesses. We continually work towards securing charitable funds and grants.

Every year we need to raise a minimum of 300k to run Enthusiasm and deliver the services to our young people. The service is vital in preventing and diverting vulnerable young people from criminal and sexual exploitation and creating opportunities for a better life.

It has become increasingly harder each year to raise this money due to the economic pressures the country face and cuts across the charitable sector in general. Therefore, we rely on the generosity of you the people in and around our business and civic communities.

Our aim at Enthusiasm is To give every young person the opportunity to reach their true potential whatever their life circumstances. In order for us to do this we need funding! Over the past few years we have seen central and local Government cuts for youth provision and with the negative impacts of covid now being felt there is less and less money available for the youth sector and those young people in the most deprived areas.

We are based in the heart of Derby City and work with many blue chip companies already, the Patrons Club has been designed to give something back to the people who support Enthusiasm and our young people, we have many benefits include CSR , networking, exposure on the website and to the many organisations we work with cross business opportunities.

All patrons will receive a monthly impact report so you can see the positive input your support has for our young people. We will hold an annual celebration event where you get to meet the people you have helped along the way.

Become a volunteer

Every year we recruit volunteers who have been through the enthusiasm programme. The aim is to help our Volunteers  develop life skills, teamwork, problem solving communication skills and a sense of belonging and giving back to their community.

Volunteers have the opportunity to get involved with all activities, this could be sports, craft, cooking, projects, trips and excursions and much more.

We deliver a programme to support them to be a great volunteer and to enhance their CV. We have a qualifies trainer who delivers some of the training and other elements are run by other specialist like our educational Trustee who specialises in communication and inclusion.

Whats involved with Volunteering?

The modules include, awareness of safeguarding, child criminal and sexual exploitation, health and safety, first aid , equality and diversity , effective communication, dealing with challenging behaviour, Team work , leadership and a project on social responsibility which is a project that  volunteers design  and deliver  to their community .

Every module has a series of multiple choice questions and a certificate is produced once the module is completed. A record of achievement and reference are available for future destinations.

Our volunteers are extremely valuable to our organisation and we believe in investing in our young people to enrich and better their future opportunities.

We also have volunteers who we recruit from our Family Hub, Mums, Dads, carers and friends of Enthusiasm.  We give them the opportunities to volunteer and complete the volunteer programme with the hope this could possibly lead to further training education and employment. You could also become a volunteer and work alongside our young volunteers to help them develop and gain new skills and experience
